  Apple Harvest

Here at Eremo del Sole in Rubbiano-Spoleto, we provide an education to visitors of our working farm.  We have programs for our guests to interact with the animals and other aspects of farming.
On the farm, along with our animals, we provide education on growing fruit and vegetables though our garden.

Does anything taste better than a crisp, snappy apple when you've been out hiking in the cool autumn air?
There is nothing better than an oven-smelling, warm, soothing slice of apple pie while you watch the wind rip leaves from the trees floating them to the ground.

Autumn is synonymous with apple harvest time in the Eremo del Sole di Rubbiano.
From the first days of October we start harvesting apples in our orchard always with the help of our friends, co-workers, family, and neighbors.
While you are picking your own delicious apples why not cart them home as a tasty souvenir of your stay in Spoleto this fall? Come and see nature’s way of blanketing the mountains with stunning color during the month of October.

Pick you own apples fresh from the trees. Varieties include: Red and Golden Delicious and Granny Smith.
Our orchard is open for apple picking to all our guests who may enjoy fun filled days complete with good fruit helping also us in apple harvesting and in preaparation of jams and turts ,ending the day in front of the fireplace with a big slice of cake.
